We couldn’t be more excited to welcome two new GrizzlyCorps Fellows to the Sustainable Conservation team for the 2025-26 term!
Ryan Wakefield brings his background in water resource management to Sustainable Conservation’s Water for the Future team, where he serves as a GrizzlyCorps Fellow. He holds a BA in Geography from the University of California, Berkeley, concentrating in water resource management and GIS. In his free time, Ryan likes to explore San Francisco by bike, swim in the ocean, and go camping around the state.
Hayley Willner joins Sustainable Conservation’s Accelerating Restoration Team as a GrizzlyCorps Fellow, bringing her passion for ecological restoration and community engagement to the role. Hayley was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area and has recently moved back after several years in New York. In 2022, Hayley received a B.A in Environment and Sustainability from Barnard College of Columbia University. Since graduating, Hayley has worked at a variety of environmental nonprofits – focusing on waste and resource management and connecting communities to environmental solutions. Hayley has previously completed an AmeriCorps Fellowship called Scientists in the Park, where she served in Joshua Tree National Park creating engaging and inspiring programming about the climate crisis. Hayley is passionate about centering community and environmental justice at the heart of climate solutions to increase capacity and build resilience. She is excited to dive into the Acceleration Restoration team’s vital work to increase the scale and rate of environmental restoration in California. In her free time, Hayley loves getting into the ocean, stopping by the bookstore, and spending time with family and friends in nature!
